A prenuptial agreement is a legal document that outlines which belongings including investments, business assets, or family inheritances (to name a few) go to whom if the marriage fails.  Basically saying if the marriage fails, what you owned before the marriage to returned to you.

Nobody likes to think of their marriage falling apart, but sometimes it does.  Having a prenuptial agreement in place may help you protect your personal possessions.  These agreements are more popular then you can imagine.  Perhaps its because couples are getting married later in life and with that in mind have more personal belongings and investments that they may want protected.  Some individuals are totally against prenups, others think of it as a safeguard to cover all possibilities.  What do you think?

I think I may have just found the best job in the world.  CNN reports, ” wanted: Luxury-loving couples available to globetrot for six months and get paid to test out the most romantic wedding and honeymoon destinations around the world.

It’s a hard offer to resist, but what’s being described as “The Ultimate Job” is just the latest in a series of recent dream positions to capture the public’s imagination and serve as a brilliant marketing tool for people and places.”

They have had a great response with more than 1,000 couples have already applied for the chance to be sent to resorts in Africa, Europe, Asia and the United States.

“The winners will be asked to blog about their experiences a few times a week “when they can get out of the hammock after sipping a glass of champagne,” Meleady said, and write for The Irish Times once a month.”

They will also be paid 20,000 euros (about $27,000). Hopefuls have until April 7 to apply for the “horrendous assignment” — as the company teasingly calls it — which starts mid-May.

You don’t have to be Irish to apply, but you do have to tout Ireland as part of the process.

Can you believe it?  Being able to travel around blogging about the most perfect places to honeymoon and get paid for it.  WOW, I think I just found my dream job…….

Wedding cupcakes are a hit with brides.  Maybe it’s the wide choices of flavors, the beautiful displays, the cost or how easy they are to serve.  But whatever the reason, more and more brides are choosing cupcakes instead of the traditional wedding cakes.

With more budget cautious brides and the trend of having a less formal affair, these cupcakes make a hit.  Many brides want a gorgeous wedding cake but find the cost to be overwhelming and difficult to fit in their budget.  Bakers traditional charge about $4.00 and up per slice.  You can see how this can get quite expensive.

I’m not saying cupcakes are much cheaper.  Some cupcakes may take just as long to decorate and may contain expensive ingredients, but there are different ways to decorate cupcakes that can lessen the cost.  You don’t need to go with the butter cream icing florets, fresh flowers or pieces of fruit can really make the cupcakes unique and inexpensive.  So cupcakes can be cheaper ($2-$4/cupcake) and a great option!  Additionally, the reception venue usually charges a fee to serve and piece the cake.  This will be reducing if not eliminated with a cupcake wedding dessert.  Plus the presentation of the cupcakes can be a conservation piece in itself at your wedding reception.  The choice is up to you; have a traditional wedding cakes or the unique trendy option of cupcakes?

Check out this video of Colin Cowie and find out just how popular these little sweet treats are!

1.  Add a spring motif:  such as a tulip or butterfly.

2. Consider color: spring pastels, greens, etc.

3. Get whimsical : fun, flirty looks to evoke a festive spring feeling.

4. Add greens : grasses and greenery are a natural look for spring weddings.  Plus it’s a great filler and most times is cheap.

5. Choose blooms in season: classics include tulips, daffodils, lilies (especially calla lilies and easter lilies), magnolias, gardenias, hydrangeas, gerbera daisies, apple or cherry blossoms.
